How can you make your bathroom feel cozy?
When it comes to creating a cozy bathroom, it's all about the little details. Creating a spa-like ambiance can turn your bathroom into a sanctuary for you and your guests. I'm sharing my five tips to transform your bathroom into a warm and inviting space with just some simple touches!
1. Incorporate beautiful linens
Who says you can't have luxurious linens in your bathroom? Treat yourself to soft, fluffy towels and bath mats that make you feel like you're in a spa. Turkish towels not only look beautiful but they air dry quickly and can be the perfect blend of beauty and function.
Instead of a typical bath mat, I opted for a washable rug from Ruggable with a vintage pattern. It not only elevated the look of the space, but is also super durable and can be washed to keep things fresh and clean! Opt for warm colors and plush textures to add a touch of coziness to your bathroom.
2. Add some art
Why should the living room have all the fun? Hang some artwork in your bathroom to give it a personal touch. Whether it's a painting, a photograph, or a quirky print, art can instantly elevate the ambiance and make your bathroom feel like a gallery.
3. Get creative with storage and dispensers
Clutter can quickly kill the cozy vibe in any room, including the bathroom. Invest in stylish baskets and glass containers to keep your toiletries organized. Not only will it make your bathroom look neater, but it will also add a touch of elegance to the space. Since this is our only bathroom at the moment, storage is limited. I store extra toilet paper rolls in a seagrass market tote to keep them accessible but hidden.
Changing out store bought soap and lotion dispensers and replacing them with matching ones is a great way to keep a calming aesthetic. I use these dispensers in my kitchen and bathroom. They’re heavyweight glass and can be used with or without the labels.
4. Bring in some greenery
Plants are a fantastic way to breathe life into any room, and the bathroom is no exception. Choose low-maintenance plants like succulents or ferns that thrive in humid environments. Not only will they add a pop of color, but they will also purify the air and create a calming atmosphere.
5. Set the mood with candles and lighting
Nothing says cozy like the soft flickering glow of candlelight. Place scented candles around your bathroom to create a relaxing ambiance. Opt for warm, comforting scents like vanilla, lavender or eucalyptus to enhance the cozy atmosphere.
You can also diminish the need for harsh lighting while soaking in the tub by using lamps. I added this rechargeable lamp to the vanity and I love having it on in the early mornings and late night soaks in the tub instead of the bright overhead lights.
