Looking for an easy, nontoxic way to clean your home this Spring? This super easy, affordable cleaner has been my go-to for the past several years!
After I was diagnosed with a health problem in 2014, I began to look at everything going into and onto my body and in my environment. I was so shocked at how many chemicals my family and I were being exposed to and spending lots of money in the process! I made a radical change (that's a long story for another time ha!ha!) and in the process found Dr. Bronner’s products.
Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile Liquid Soap is organic, biodegradable and ethically sourced. This quick recipe is an adaptation of the All-Purpose Cleaning Spray on their website which contains 2 simple ingredients…water and Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap! That’s it!
S U P P L I E S :
- 2 tablespoons (~1/8c.) Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile Liquid Soap
- 15 oz of water (distilled or filtered works best)
- Glass Spray Bottle
D I R E C T I O N S :
This cleaner is super easy to put together and quick to refill! Simply fill the spray bottle with water ~3/4 full then add 2 tablespoons of Dr. Bronner’s Castile Soap directly into the spray bottle. Add additional water to fill up the spray bottle and begin cleaning!
So easy right?!? And at a fraction of the cost of all of the chemical filled cleaners on the market! One 32 oz bottle of Dr. Bronner's can easily last 6 months or up to a year depending on the amount of use.
To prevent a film on shiny surfaces, like my countertops, I use filtered water (we have an external water filter and a reverse osmosis system for drinking). For the tutorial I used Dr. Bronner's Rose Scented Castile Soap but I also love Peppermint! The soaps have a very light scent and come in a wide variety of scents. You can check out all of the scents and uses here on the Dr. Bronner’s website.
I’ve made a quick video of the process for Instagram that you can watch by clicking here and can shop all of the supplies shown in my pictures on my LiketoKnowIt Account by clicking here.
