USA Made Patriotic Decor - Favorite Sources

Love decorating with patriotic decor but not sure where to find the best sources of flags, banners and bunting that are Made in the USA? No worries! I’m sharing all of my favorite sources and links with you in this post!

If you’ve followed me for a while, you know that decorating with patriotic decor for Summer is one of my favorites! I love seeing red, white and blue from May to July (and sometimes I stretch it a little further!). My grandfather was a Marine in WWII and he had such reverence and pride for our flag and country that it really left a major impression on me and is still influencing me today! Patriotic decor is not just about decorating but honoring those brave men and women who have sacrificed so much for us since the founding of our country in 1776 and continue to do so today! Although my grandfather is no longer with us, I know he would be proud to see the flag and all of the Stars and Stripes decorating my home and would enjoy it so much!! This is a picture of him in his dress uniform and although he endured so much, he always had that same smile and sparkle in his eye when talking about our great country! 

When I first began sourcing patriotic home decor years ago, I was surprised to find that many American Flags aren’t even made in America!?!? Since that time,  I’ve worked hard to gather USA made decor and I’m sharing those sources with you today! 

First up, I love adding small 4x6 flags throughout the house! They are an easy way to incorporate the patriotic theme in your existing decor. These Betsy Ross 4x6 flags on wooden dowels (shown above) are my favorites and are available at Walmart! They add a simple patriotic touch to any bottle, jar or floral arrangement for instant patriotic charm. 

My other favorite flags with wooden dowels are these medium sized 8”x12” flags from Hobby Lobby. They’re also made of cotton and have a really good weight that lets them drape perfectly! I used them here on my mantle under my TV and just used double stick tape to “criss cross” them. I’m all about quick and easy!

While I love the flags on dowels, my ultimate favorite flag is this 3x5 Cotton Flag from Valley Forge! This flag is truly a stunner!! First of all, it’s 100% cotton so it has a great weight and texture. And speaking of texture, all 50 stars are embroidered onto the flag and not printed for the ultimate patriotic charm! I just draped the flag through some vintage windows in my living room to add a statement piece on my large board and batten wall. 

 

Each year I try to add some quality pieces to my patriotic collection and one of my new additions are these American Flag banners! The banners are 12 feet long but I cut one of them to fit my mantle and simply tacked it in place with small nails. The flags on these banners are also cotton for an authentic vintage feel. I plan to use these in a few other places throughout my home and I’ll share more about that on my Instagram account @returninggrace.

 

 

The other newbie to my red, white and blue collection is this Bunting! I’ve been on the hunt for just the right bunting and I’m happy to say the search is over!! This bunting is a cotton/poly blend so it has a great weight and hangs beautifully. I have only used this one indoors but it seems like it would hold up great outdoors too! 

 

And then of course as a pillow maker, these two pillow covers are at the top of my patriotic decor list! Our cotton Navy and White Stars Pillow Cover is always a favorite at this time of year! While the fabric is not officially outdoor fabric, it can be scotch-guarded to use outdoors too! And our Red and Ivory Stripe Vintage Ticking Pillow Cover is a true classic! It’s perfect for patriotic decor and also works perfectly for Christmas! (I love reusing decor for multiple seasons!)
