Hello, and welcome! I’m Stephanie Leleux, the heart behind Returning Grace. My journey began in 2012 when I learned to sew with the goal of hemming pants for my three boys. But, as often happens, my sewing lessons quickly shifted focus to creating home decor pieces, including pillow covers, curtains, and even upholstery projects.
Over the next few years, I honed my craft, making gifts and home decor items for family and friends. The passion for creating grew, and in 2016, I opened my Etsy shop—thus, Returning Grace was born.
As demand grew, I was fortunate to have the help of my husband, Skip. Initially, he assisted with cutting fabric, prepping zippers, and eventually became an integral part of the business, joining me full-time. While working together has its challenges, it’s been an incredible blessing to spend so much time as a team.
With Skip’s help in the sewing room, I was able to expand our business further. We launched an independent e-commerce website, grew our social media presence, and delved into interior/product photography and content creation. These new areas have been some of the most rewarding and challenging aspects of our business, and I’m excited to continue developing these avenues.
Along the way, I began to explore the world of digital art, and I’m thrilled to now offer a range of printable art through my online store. This new venture allows me to share my love for vintage-inspired designs with a wider audience and provide you with beautiful, downloadable art for your home. It’s a natural extension of my work and a way to make creativity accessible to everyone.
From sewing pillows at our dining room table to running a full-fledged business with a dedicated workspace, our journey has grown organically, driven by divine providence. It’s been an incredible ride, and I’m truly grateful for how God’s plans have guided us far beyond what we could have imagined.
Our mission at Returning Grace is simple—to share the blessings and graces we’ve received through our work. Just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my plans than yours. (Isaiah 55:8-9)
